Adult Education College of HuizhouUniversity is the second college, which has had the advanced long-distance education, correspondence education (evening school). The college is located at the byland of beautiful West Lake and education service radius cover Huizhou, Heyuan, Dongguan, Shanwei and Meizhou and the college has become the largest base of network education and continuing education in the East River drainage area.
dult education of HuizhouUniversity started in Jane 18, 1997. HuiyangNormalProfessionalSchool cooperated with HuizhouEducationCollege to start the education jointly on Jane, 1986. Later on April 1989 Northwest textile technical college Huizhou Branch joined them. So in September 1993, Guangdong Provincial Government authorized to set up HuizhouUniversity.
There are about 120 full-time and part-time professional teachers. Among them, the ratio of lecturers and professors are about 85% of total, and the college often invites the experts, professors and scholars from well-known universities to give lectures. In 2001, the advanced Long-distance education Service Center was set up and to sign the agreement on advanced long-distance education with Qinghua University, Zhejiang University, Sichuan University, Hunan University, Fujian University, South China University of Technology and South China Normal University under the permission issued by Education Bureau of Guangdong Province. There are 18 correspondence undergraduate and diploma education including Chinese, Law, Administration, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Physics, Garment, Economical management, electrics, art, civil engineering, etc. with 5640 students.
